How earning potential works

The score compares niches using verified fields in AffRanker’s live catalog. It is a discovery aid, not an earnings promise, and paid placement never changes it.

The 0–100 score

  1. Commission strength · 30%Median percentage commission, or median flat payout for flat-heavy niches, compared with other niches.
  2. Network-reported EPC signal · 20%An internal percentile signal where at least five programs report EPC. Missing or small samples receive a neutral value. Raw EPC is not shown publicly because network units and currencies differ.
  3. Recurring share · 15%The share of live programs with recurring commission.
  4. Program depth · 15%Log-scaled program count, preventing a tiny niche with one unusually large commission from topping the map.
  5. Accessibility · 10%The share of live programs marked auto-approve.
  6. Momentum · 10%Programs added in the last 30 days, normalized against the catalog.

Small samples stay honest

A niche needs at least five live programs for a score. Commission, cookie, and EPC aggregates also require five known values. Anything smaller is labelled “Thin data” and sorted below scored niches by default.

Roll-ups and trends

Broad areas include programs mapped to their child niches, without double-counting a program. We store one real snapshot each night. Trend lines remain hidden until at least 28 daily observations exist—there are no placeholder trends or invented “hot” labels.
